We run a public Tor relay
Plenty of brands put "privacy" in their marketing. Far fewer spend money on the networks that actually make privacy possible. PikaSim runs a public Tor relay that donates bandwidth to the anonymity network millions of people rely on. It is real, it is permanent, and you can verify it yourself in ten seconds.
Why a Tor relay, and why it matters
Tor keeps journalists, activists, researchers, and ordinary people safe from tracking and censorship. It is not run by a company. It runs entirely on volunteer-operated relays donating bandwidth. More relays mean a faster, more resilient, harder-to-deanonymize network for everyone.
We benefit from privacy infrastructure every day, so we give back to it. This is a "show, do not tell" commitment: the fingerprint above and the Tor Metrics link let anyone confirm we contribute, independently of anything we say on our own website.
The details
Non-exit, by design
Our relay forwards encrypted traffic between other Tor nodes. It is not an exit, so it never reaches out to the open internet on anyone's behalf, which means no exit-traffic abuse risk while still adding real capacity.
Listed on Tor Metrics
Nickname, uptime, flags, bandwidth, and contact are all published on the official Tor Project directory. Verifiable proof, not a badge we drew ourselves.
Funded as permanent infrastructure
Relays are only useful if they stay up. Ours is funded and monitored continuously, not a weekend experiment that vanishes next month.
We already speak Tor
PikaSim also runs as a Tor hidden service, so you can browse, buy, and manage eSIMs without ever leaving the Tor network. The onion address is in our footer on every page.
Verify it yourself
- Open the official Tor Project metrics site: metrics.torproject.org.
- Search the fingerprint
0EFB7322FFE2EA4174965687C368D322B8170E7D(or the nickname PikaSim). - You will see the relay's live status, flags, bandwidth, first-seen date, and contact, served by the Tor Project, not by us.
No account, no trust required. That is the point.
Part of a bigger commitment
The Tor relay is one of three free public services we run for the crypto and privacy communities. See them all on our privacy infrastructure page:
- Tor relay — donating bandwidth to the anonymity network (this page).
- Monero remote node — so you never have to trust a stranger's wallet backend.
- Nostr relay — censorship-resistant social, free write access for customers. See relay.pikasim.com.
Privacy you can verify
We fund the networks privacy depends on, and sell anonymous eSIMs with no account, no email, and no KYC. Pay with Bitcoin, Lightning, or Monero.
