How unlimited daily plans work
Simple idea: a fresh batch of high-speed data, every day, for the whole length of your trip.
Get your daily data
Each day you receive your high-speed allowance, for example 1GB or 3GB.
Use it at full speed
Stream, map, message and browse on fast 4G/5G wherever you are.
Hit your limit? Stay online
Reach the daily cap and speeds slow to around 128kbps. You are never fully cut off.
Reset the next day
24 hours later your high-speed data refills. The cycle repeats for your whole plan.
Is it really unlimited? The honest answer.
Most eSIM brands sell "unlimited" and quietly bury the catch. Here it is in plain language: you get a set amount of high-speed data each day. Once you use it, your speed drops to around 128kbps until the next day. That is a Fair Usage Policy, and every major eSIM provider uses one. The difference is we say so on the way in.
The part that matters: you are never disconnected. At reduced speed you can still message, check email, use maps, and hail a ride. What you cannot do until the reset is stream HD video or download large files. We would rather tell you that up front than surprise you on day three of your trip.
Still works after the daily cap
- WhatsApp, Telegram & iMessage
- Google Maps & navigation
- Uber and ride-share apps
- Text-based browsing
Wait for the daily reset
- HD video streaming
- Large file downloads
- Video calls (Zoom, FaceTime)
- High-res photo uploads
Unlimited daily vs a fixed data plan
Neither is universally better. It comes down to how you use data.
| Factor | Unlimited daily | Fixed data pool |
|---|---|---|
| Daily consistency | ✓ Same amount every day | ✗ Can run out early |
| Peace of mind | ✓ Never fully offline | ✗ Runs out means no data |
| Save data for a big day | ✗ Capped per day | ✓ Use the full pool at once |
| Best for long trips | ✓ Predictable for weeks | ✗ May need to top up |
| Best for short trips | ✗ May pay for unused days | ✓ Small plans available |

| 1GB/day | Social media, navigation, music, regular browsing | Most travelers (recommended) |
| 2GB/day | Above plus video calls and photo sharing | Moderate users who avoid Wi-Fi |
| 3GB/day | Above plus SD streaming and frequent calls | Heavy users and remote workers |
Unlimited eSIM FAQ
Is it really unlimited data?
You get a set amount of high-speed data every day (for example 1GB or 3GB) that resets every 24 hours, so you can never fully run out for the whole length of your plan. After your daily high-speed allowance, you stay connected at a reduced speed (around 128kbps) until the next day. That is standard across the industry and it is why the plan can be sold as unlimited. We would rather tell you plainly than pretend there is no daily cap.
What can I still do after I hit my daily high-speed limit?
At reduced speed you can still send WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage messages, check email, use Google Maps, hail an Uber, and browse text-based sites. HD video, large downloads and video calls will struggle until your data resets the next day.
When does my daily data reset?
Twenty-four hours from when you first activated and connected. If you connected at 3pm local time, your high-speed data resets at 3pm the next day, every day, for the length of your plan.
Can I share the connection over hotspot?
Yes. We do not restrict hotspot or tethering. Your daily allowance is the same whether you use it on your phone or share it with a laptop, though hotspot use burns through data faster.
How many days can I buy?
Unlimited plans are priced per day and you choose the length at checkout: 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 or 30 days. Longer plans carry a lower per-day price. Pick a country below to see live pricing for each length.
Do I need an account or email to buy?
No. PikaSim never requires an account, email or ID. Your eSIM QR code appears instantly on the purchase page, and you can pay by card, Bitcoin, Lightning or Monero. Top up later with just your ICCID.
